Yokosuka Navy Curry

The Yokosuka Kaigun Curry is said to be the roots of Japanese curry. Yokosuka is a city that has been grown with the navy, and it is said that Western cuisine was incorporated from the UK for the purpose of maintaining health of the crew during long voyage. The British Navy ate curry with bread, but the Japanese Navy could not adapt to it, so they arranged it a little bit by adding flour and making it thicker. This triggered the habit of eating curry with rice, establishing all over Japan.
