Introducing the most popular food in Kanagawa Prefecture. Kanagawa, located just south of Tokyo has great access to its metropolitan area. Since the beginning of trade with foreign countries in 1859, it has evolved and now incorporates food cultures from around the world. Facing two bays, Tokyo Bay and Sagami Bay along with Tanzawa mountain (located to the west) this is a great location where animals and plants can grow in the perfect climate, resulting in a diverse food culture.
