Widely regarded as having one of the beautiful beaches in Kanagawa Prefecture, Hayama is a picturesque seaside town situated on the Miura Peninsula. More secluded and shaded than neighboring towns, the Japanese Emperor even has a residence in the city. Naturally popular in the summer months, Hayama's two main beaches of Isshiki and Morito are packed with marine sport enthusiasts and sunbathers with beach huts and food and drink stalls available to keep the throngs of visitors content.
Hayama also has an array of cute boutiques, stores and coffee shops for those looking for some retail therapy. If you're lucky when visiting the area, on a clear day you may well be able to sip a cocktail on the beach with a stunning view of Mount Fuji in the distance.
