Mt. Oyama is a sacred mountain from the Jomon period (6,000–300 BCE) located within the Tanzawa Oyama Quasi-National Park, and sits at an altitude of 1,252m. During the Edo period (1603-1867) it was featured in many rakugo (traditional storytelling) and Ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock prints) and in 2016 it was certified as one of Japan's Heritage sites. The mountain includes Oyama Afuri Shrine, which you can visit on your trip. The following day you can fully explore the many sights of Enoshima and Kamakura.
