Waki Honjin Site (sub official inn)

Waki Honjin Site (sub official inn)

In a shukuba (post station) during the Edo Period, there were official hotels called Honjin for Edo shogunate officials and daimyo to stay in. Waki Honjin was a sub-honjin to complement and support Honjin. There was only one Waki Honjin in Hiratsuka-shuku, which used to stand here.
