Hiratsuka-juku Kousatsuba

Kousatsu-jo was a place where the most basic laws and regulations decreed by shogunate or feudal lords were posted on a bulletin board, which was set in each shukuba (post station) as well as in villages. On a bulletin board in Hiratsuka-shuku, along with other decrees, official passage fees to neighboring Fujisawa-shuku and Ooiso-shuku were also displayed.
