The Japanese-Western dishes "Doria", "Napolitan", and "Pudding à la mode" are well-known throughout Japan. All of these dishes were born at Hotel New Grand’s "The Cafe". It is said that the chefs and patissiers of the time created them with foreign guests and US soldiers in mind.
