Overview
This brewery started its business in 1857 in Edo Ansei era. Our founder started brewing sake with the gift of affluent rice products and pure water from Tanzawa mountains. This area is called Ebina-Gouchi and one of the most fertile rice-producing regions of Kanagawa prefecture. In this region its cultivation started 2,000 years ago. Old time tumbs were built in 3rd to 4th centuries. In 8th century the primary temple of this Sagami district was built. In this fertile region, we grow our own rice for our sake. Izumibashi Brewery is making its own way to keep its history and try to pass on the legacy towerd the next generation.
