Shonan Kamakura General Hospital
Shonan Kamakura General Hospital was opened in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture in November 1988. The staff has tirelessly been providing emergency services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year under the principle of "treating all lives equally.” Our hospital accepts the largest amount of ambulances in Japan each year and has 44 departments to treat a wide range of diseases. With only 368 beds at the time of opening, the hospital has grown and increased this to 669 to take a greater role in local healthcare. In order to respond to the diversifying medical needs of patients, the Advanced Medical Center, which was completed in 2021, was opened with cutting-edge medical technology, including proton beam therapy, PET/CT, and regenerative medicine. We also provide high-quality medical care to foreigners. In addition to JCI (an international medical function evaluation), we have also acquired JMIP (a certification system for accepting foreign patients). Comprehensive checkups are available at the Preventive Medicine Center, which was completed in 2021. Please feel free to visit us for your medical needs.
