Sannomiya Hibita Shrine

Sannomiya Hibita Shrine

This ancient shrine was mentioned in records from the Heian period. A stone ring dating back to the middle of the Jomon period has been excavated in the vicinity, suggesting that the area has been a sacred place since ancient times. The local museum next to the shrine grounds has the oldest wooden statues of komainu (guardian dogs) in the Kanto region.
