You can get in touch with the local history, exploring original valuable documents at the Yokohama Archives of History.

Yokohama Archives of History

Displays materials on Yokohama history from the end of the Edo period/Opening up of the port period to the beginning of the Showa period. The building was formerly used as the British consulate until 1972. There is a historical camphor tree in the courtyard. *Includes a cafe.

Yokohama Chinatown

One of the largest Chinatowns in the world with 140 years of history. More than 500 restaurants and shops fill an area of about 500 square meters. Known as one of the three major Chinatowns in Japan along with those in Kobe and Nagasaki.
