Yugawara Station Square

Completed in October 2017. Designed by the Kengo Kuma Architectural Office, which also designed the National Stadium, this station-front plaza was designed based on the concepts of “a warm plaza where you can feel the warmth of the trees and the heat of steam,” and “a station-front plaza that serves as a community for tourists and residents to casually come together.”
