Yokohama Municipal Children's Botanical Garden
About
This 3.0 ha park opened in 1979 to commemorate the International Year of the Child. Various gardens are maintained in the park, featuring flower beds, a rose garden, wild grasses, fruit trees, bamboo, flowering trees, hedges, and medicinal plants. A lot of rare plants have been gathered within the premises, with offerings including Newton's Apple and Mendel’s Grape.

From the East Exit of JR Hodogaya Station, take any of the following buses: "Yoko 17", "To 38", "77", "Higashi 21", or "205". It is a 5 minute walk from the "Jidoyuenchi Iriguchi" bus stop. Alternatively, take the Yokohama City Bus No. 53 and alight at the "Jidoyuenchi-mae" bus stop and walk for about a minute. From Keikyu Idogaya Station, take the City Bus No. 79, get off at Jidoyuenchi-mae (children's playground) and walk for 1 minute.
