This 3.0 ha park opened in 1979 to commemorate the International Year of the Child. Various gardens are maintained in the park, featuring flower beds, a rose garden, wild grasses, fruit trees, bamboo, flowering trees, hedges, and medicinal plants. A lot of rare plants have been gathered within the premises, with offerings including Newton's Apple and Mendel’s Grape.

| Access | From the East Exit of JR Hodogaya Station, take any of the following buses: "Yoko 17", "To 38", "77", "Higashi 21", or "205". It is a 5 minute walk from the "Jidoyuenchi Iriguchi" bus stop. Alternatively, take the Yokohama City Bus No. 53 and alight at the "Jidoyuenchi-mae" bus stop and walk for about a minute. From Keikyu Idogaya Station, take the City Bus No. 79, get off at Jidoyuenchi-mae (children's playground) and walk for 1 minute. |
