Kanazawa-Michi (From Kanazawa Hiking Courses)
A little before Hodogaya-juku on the Tokaido Road is an intersection called Kanazawa Yokocho. The road that goes from here to Kamiooka, then on through Nokendo to Kanazawa Hakkei is called the Kanazawa Road. During the Edo period this road was used to travel to Kanazawa Hakkei, a holiday spot that was familiar to commoners, and connected to the Kanazawa Highway, which ran through to Kamakura via Asainakiridoshi. For this reason, many travelers during the time used this road to enjoy visiting Kamakura and Enoshima.
