The Site of Taima-no-Watashi (ferryboat)

The Site of Taima-no-Watashi (ferryboat)

Taima was an important place for traffic since long ago. Just beside the Showa Bridge, there was a ferryboat that connected Taima to Echi (the other side of the river). After visiting Mt. Oyama the ferry became popular and many people started to use 'Taima-no-Watashi (ferryboat) to cross the river. Taima, already a lively post town, became more crowded and popular.
