The park was established on the site (Mount Sakura) associated with Tokutomi Roka, a great writer of the Meiji era, and opened as a park in 1984 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Zushi City's municipal organization.

From Zushi-Hayama Station on the Keikyu Zushi Line, board the bus headed for Hayama. Disembark at Fujimibashi Bus Stop and it’ll be 5 minutes on foot from there.
