Officially called Shimo-hoden, this is the building where the main shrine is worshipped from below. Various ceremonies are held here, as well as Shinto weddings and dedications of music and performing arts. It is well known that Shizuka Gozen, who adored Minamoto no Yoshitsune, performed a dance here.
