Magaibutsu

On the crag, a huge Maitreya Buddha stands. It was carved by a Yokosuka resident sculptor Shigeru Fujishima. He started carving in 1980. It took about one year. It is about eight meter's tall and 4.5 meters in width.

Take a bus from Keikyu Oppama station of 'Shonan Takatori Danchi Junnkan' line. After 10 minutes, get off at 'Takatori elementary school'. Walk for 10 minutes.
