Dokuon-ji Temple was built about 400 years ago as a temple for the repose of souls at a local sacred site that has existed since ancient times. The main deity: Shakyamuni Buddha Founded: 1619 Founder: Zen Master Ippou Kenzon *Zazen (Zen meditation) sessions for foreigners (reservation required) In addition to parishioners and local residents, many foreigners visit the temple to experience zazen meditation.
