Umabori Coastal Storm Surge Protection Seawall

Umabori Coastal Storm Surge Protection Seawall

This area was flooded by a storm surge caused by a typhoon in 1995 and 1996, resulting in the construction of a storm surge protection seawall in 2006. The administrative pathway is now open to the public as a promenade, and on a clear day, one can enjoy a view of Mt. Fuji. The palm trees planted along the path create an exotic atmosphere, and visitors can enjoy jogging and strolling while taking in the fresh sea breeze.
