JICA Yokohama [Official name: Japan International Cooperation Agency, Yokohama Center] opened in Minato Mirai, Yokohama in 2002 and handles various projects as a hub for international cooperation in the region. JICA Yokohama is a facility that is widely open to the general public among JICA facilities nationwide, with various spaces available for general use such as exhibition and experience areas and restaurants.

JICA Yokohama contains unique exhibitions and experiential artworks with the theme of “learning while having fun” and “viewing while relaxing” about international cooperation, SDGs and Nikkei communities. It also houses the Japanese Overseas Migration Museum, which was opened in Yokohama City because many Japanese people departed for overseas destinations from Yokohama Port. Here you can learn about the history of Japanese overseas migration and the experiences of migrants and people of Japanese descent around the world in contemporary times. In addition, there is a library and book lounge “Book Port” with a rich collection of books and picture books in various languages and “Port Terrace Cafe” where you can enjoy various dishes from around the world and overlook Yokohama Port.

JICA Yokohama is a facility where you can learn about international cooperation, support program for migrants and Japanese descendants, and SDGs while having fun and relaxing. At JICA Yokohama, which has connections with various countries, please enjoy the various spaces of the facility as if you were traveling around the world.
