HAYAMA KACHI-TEI

Designed in 1928 by Arata Endo, a pupil of the master architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Come and stay in this masterpiece of modern architecture! It is a registered tangible cultural property with a beautiful Oya stone design. While inheriting the design of the time, it has been renovated for accommodation, so the building has been beautifully reborn. There is an observation room overlooking the nature of Hayama, a sunroom leading to the garden, and a library overlooking the salon. The bathrooms are well-designed with beams from those days, and the kitchen is functional. Every room is a special space. *The total floor space is 364 square meters (110 tsubo) and is equipped with Wifi. In order to allow guests to enjoy the best of the modernist architecture of the time, ramps have been installed. However, we have not installed barrier-free accessibility measures. Please understand that the structure of the building makes it difficult for wheelchair users and people with disabilities to stay at the hotel. The bath at the Hayama Kaji Residence was selected as one of the "100 best Yudo" by Kundo Koyama, the director of the movie "Yudo" ("The Way of the Bath").
