Meigetsu-in Temple

Meigetsu-in Temple in Kita-Kamakura is also known as The Temple of Hydrangeas. For hydrangea season around June, many people flock here to view approximately 2,500 hydrangeas. The hydrangeas planted at Meigetsu-in are all a uniform blue color, dubbed "Meigetsu-in Blue".

Jochi-ji

Wife and son, Morotoki, of Shogun Hojo Munemasa built this temple in 1281. In this temple there is a 'Kanro no I (well)' , one of the 10 Kamakura Wells. This temple ground is designated as a historic spot of Japan.

Kenchō-ji Temple

The first of the Five Great Mountains(temples) of Kamakura, with many ancient structures and a temple bell certified as a national treasure. There is a Zen meditation (Zazen) experience with English explanations and it is very popular with tourists.

Jōmyō-ji Temple

One of the family temples of Ashikaga City. The precincts of the temple has been designated as a national historic site and you can observe the karesansui (rock garden) while you drink matcha tea. At the Ishigama Garden Terrace, you can enjoy meals as well as observe the English garden.
