Kuwanaya

Established in Meiji 19 (1886), the owner of this soba restaurant, a rest stop enthusiast, showcases historical documents of the Hodogaya Rest Stop. While Hodogaya is known for its Ni-hachi soba, as declared by the famous ukiyo-e artist Hiroshige, this soba restaurant is famous for its Juwari soba (made with 100% buckwheat flour)

Kappo・Tanakaya

Reservation Required:The predecessor of the Tanaka family is depicted in Utagawa Hiroshige's ukiyo-e. Tanakaya has been loved by many celebrities including Hirofumi Ito, Soseki Natsume, and statesman of the Meiji period, Soseki Natsume. Being introduced by Katsu Kaishu, Ryoma Sakamoto's wife, Oryo, worked here.
