This year, Kanagawa’s beaches will not be open. Please refrain from swimming!

Due to the spread of COVID-19 (also known as the coronavirus), all recreational beaches within the prefecture will be closed. As such, the facilities will not be offering the usual safety measures. We therefore ask you to refrain from swimming for everyone’s safety.

Furthermore, we ask you to please refrain from drinking, smoking, having barbeques, playing with fireworks, and showing off tattoos along the shore. Please do not sell alcohol, drinking water, or other products either.
