About
The historic Noh stage, built in 1875 by the Maeda family of the former Kaga Clan and later used as the "Somei Noh Stage" where many master dancers performed until its demolition in 1965, has been restored. During the private tour, you will be guided through the history of Noh and Kyogen, as well as behind the scenes of the stage, which you cannot usually see. Visitors can also experience the operation of the stage curtain and other traditional performing arts that have been handed down since the Muromachi period (1333-1573).
