Tonboro-Water at low tide

Tonboro-Water at low tide

Natural phenomenon at Enoshima in which there is low tide for approximately one hour. Because the sand carried by the waves gather and pile up, a path, or sandbar, is created that can be walked across. At Katase Kaigan Higashihama and Enoshima, there is low tide before and after the days of the new moon and full moon. The sandbar that appears due to the tide is called "Tonboro".
