The Tokyo Bay Ferry (Tokyo Wan Ferry) links Yokosuka in Kanagawa Prefecture to Futtsu in Chiba Prefecture. The trip takes only 40 minutes one way and is a pleasant way to cross to bay. The car ferry began operation in 1957 and provides not only a great service for skipping the traffic and time it would take to cross the bay, but also a new perspective of Tokyo, Chiba, and Kanagawa by sea. At the Port of Kanaya—in Futtsu—passengers may purchase a single ticket to Kurihama Port. In Yokosuka, the ferry runs once every 30 to 50 minutes.
Aboard each of the three car ferries, is a souvenir shop and concession counter. In addition to food and gifts, you can also find great deals for package deals, such as pair tickets with Mother Farm or Kamogawa Sea World, both located in Chiba. Why not watch the sunset from aboard the Tokyo Bay Ferry and have the opportunity to see the glittering lights as evening blankets the land? See luxury cruise liners up close or Mount Fuji far off in the distance. Create a wonderful memory of Tokyo Bay via the ferry.
