Kurihama Port

This port is located in the eastern part of Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is known as the place where Matthew C. Perry’s army and their ships landed at the time of Japan's reopening. Kurihama's Perry Fireworks Festival: This festival is held every year in mid-July to commemorate Perry’s arrival in Japan. The parade features a giant sensational “kurofune” float, and about 3,500 fireworks are launched.

Kurihama Port at night

An illumination cruise that takes you around to see the night views of Yokohama’s sights, including Minato Mirai and the Red Brick Warehouse. The boat can accommodate over 80 passengers and operates on rainy days too. A professional voice actor will be your cruise guide, making the experience unique.
