Shiroyama dam

As population increased rapidly and the industries developed, there was an increasing need for water. To tackle that, in order to supply water for the waterworks and industries, generate electricity, as well as to strengthen flood control, facilities such as the Shiroyama dam and Samukawa water intake facility were built as collaborative projects between Yokohama City, Kawasaki City and Yokosuka City.
