Oyama Illustrated Lantern Festival (E-toro Matsuri)

Oyama Illustrated Lantern Festival (E-toro Matsuri)

Toro are ancient Japanese lanterns. When summer arrives at Isehara City’s Mt. Oyama, they decorate with e-toro (illustrated paper lanterns) and illuminate the mountain. The Oyama Cable Car operates at night too and you can also experience the night view from Ohyama- Afuri Jinja Shrine’s lower sanctuary.
