Ikuta Chojaana Burial Cave Cluster

Ikuta Chojaana Burial Cave Cluster

Kawasaki City is an area with an exceptional number of cave tombs. While burial mounds are typically constructed with mounds of earth, these cave tombs were built by digging into hill slopes with the intention of turning them into graves. These tombs were created during the Asuka period in the 7th century. For safety reasons, access inside the tombs is prohibited.
