Iiyama Hakusan Shinrin Park
Iiyama Hakusan Forest Park extends over Mount Haku and the surrounding Satoyama in the northwestern part of Atsugi City. The view from the observatory at the top of Mount Haku, which can be reached in about 20 minutes from the Iiyama Kannon parking lot, is spectacular, offering a panoramic view of the entire prefecture and even as far as Yokohama and Shinjuku in the far distance. The Sky Tree can also occasionaly be seen. Hiking and trail running courses have been developed, and visitors can enjoy nature in all seasons, including the season of fresh greenery and autumn leaves. Iiyama Kannon is famous for its cherry blossoms and is designated as one of Kanagawa's 50 scenic spots. The annual Atsugi-Iiyama Cherry Blossom Festival is lively with geigi hanami odori (the cherry blossom viewing dance) and song shows from Iiyama Onsen. Iiyama Onsen Hot Spring Resort is located at the foot of the mountain.
