
Hiratsuka Offshore Experiment Tower (University of Tokyo Ocean Alliance)
This offshore tower is owned by Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo, and is one of the only towers of its kind in Japan that does not float. It is used by research institutions other than the University of Tokyo for marine experiments. The yellow tower can be seen from the coast of Hiratsuka and Ryujogaoka by National Route 134. Some people go a closer look via standup paddleboarding.
