Fuji on the Left Side in Fuji Yoshiwara

Fuji on the Left Side in Fuji Yoshiwara

The name "Left Fuji" was derived from the fact that only here, on the way down the Tokaido Highway from Edo (Tokyo), can the left side of Mount Fuji be seen. It is also depicted in Hiroshige Utagawa's "The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido.”
