Kitakamakura Houan (tea room)
About
A tea room built in 1934 in Jochiji Yato, Kita-Kamakura. Built sukiya-style, it has 8-tatami and 4-tatami mat tea rooms (joanken) and includes the world's smallest thatched-roofed building, "Musou-an". It usually isn't open to the public, however, once a month we hold an open day where you can freely tour the facility and enjoy matcha paired with fresh sweets (reservation required). We also hold numerous events, such as tea ceremonies, tea ceremony experience sessions for beginners, and art exhibitions. Please see our website for more details.Essential Information
