Shiroyama Park

Shiroyama Park

Ayase

This park houses the remains of the castle of Shibuya Shigekuni, vassal of the Kamakura-era shogun Minamoto no Yoritomo. The moat and earthen walls of the castle remain to this day. The park is known for its roofed BBQ area, the city's longest roller slide, and its Japanese garden. View the cherry blossom trees in late March, fireflies in early June, and 600 roses (70 varieties) in mid-May and mid-October.
