Shasui-no-Taki Waterfall

It is a scenic waterfall that has been designated as one of "The 100 Best Waterfalls in Japan". Also, its water has been designated as one of "The 100 Excellent Waters in Japan". It is a dynamic waterfall that consists of three staged sub-waterfalls, the first one is 69 meters high, the second one being 16 meters high, and the third one is 29 meters high. A Waterfall Festival is held at the end of July every year, in which a ritual celebrating the beginning of waterfall season is performed by priests and other people. In the ritual, monks and others will clean up the trails to the waterfall and pray for the safety of tourists.
