Sagamihara City Museum

Sagamihara City Museum

Since opening in 1995, the Sagamihara City Museum has been popular with the public as a comprehensive museum that showcases the history and nature of Sagamihara, and in 2019 the number of visitors exceeded 3 million. Furthermore, the return capsules of the asteroid explorers Hayabusa and Hayabusa 2 were unveiled for the first time to the world in July 2010 and March 2021 respectively, deepening the museum's connection with the JAXA Sagamihara Campus across the street.
