Kan'ei-ji
For the purpose of protecting the northeastern gate “Kimon” of the Edo Castle and praying for the peace of people,on the Ueno highland, this temple was built by the high priest Jigendaish Tenkai. The Kan’ei-ji Temple is the general headquarter of the Tendai-shu.
