Kamakura Museum of History and Culture

This museum was opened in May 2017 as a facility where visitors can learn about and experience the history and culture of Kamakura. The building was designed by Foster + Partners led by the prominent architect Norman Foster to incorporate the existing structure. The museum presents a comprehensive view of Kamakura's history and culture throughout history, and has exhibits of artifacts discovered in Kamakura. With video exhibitions and diorama projection mapping, even first time visitors to Kamakura can enjoy and learn about the history and culture of Kamakura.
