Iyashi-no-Yu Hot Springs
Iyashi Hot Spring is a natural hot spring. Its origins date back 5 million years ago, deep underground the foundations of Mount Fuji and the Tanzawa Mountains where the four Kanto tectonic plates overlap. The water slowly followed the cracks in crystallized quartz diorite over many, many years before finally penetrating the surface.
