Isezaki Mall 1-4 St. is a 24-hour shopping mall. A sunny pedestrian paradise lush with greenery, it can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages. Full of both old and new charm, this tree-lined shopping park boasts a wide variety of stores, from long-standing specialist shops to large chain stores.
Visitors can explore the mall leisurely and with ease thanks to its barrier-free layout, and benches conveniently placed for taking a rest in the shade of the trees.
It also holds events such as rakugo (traditional Japanese comedic storytelling), mini concerts, and jazz, and hosts free events every week. (Events are not being held at this time.)
The mechanical doll clock on 2St., which rotates while playing a melancholy baroque tune every 30 minutes, is a monument popular with visitors. It is said to be the oldest commercial installation of its kind.
The popular Japanese folk duo 'Yuzu' spread their wings from 1St., and their legend is still being told today. There is also a monument to the song 'Isezakicho Blues' and a multipurpose event space called Cross Street. Isezaki supports its artists!
From 1-Chome to 6-Chome, the mall has a total length of approximately 1.5km.
