238A maritime port city located on the Miura Peninsula, Yokosuka is one of four Japan Heritage Naval Port cities. With a huge US Navy base, the city is naturally home to diverse cultures and is cosmopolitan, friendly and welcoming to visitors who flock there from Yokohama and Tokyo.
Home to the legendary Mikasa Battleship, one of the world's three Great Memorial Ships, Yokosuka has plenty of activities and navy-based tours which are sure to be popular with history buffs out there.
