The Bon Odori dance festival at Sojiji temple has a lively atmosphere where revellers dance together in the light of beautiful fireworks. I'd go as far as to say that this is the only place where you can be guided in the special style of dance by Buddhist monks. After dancing the night away at the Bon Odori festival there will be a beer waiting for you in the entertainment district.

Soji-ji Temple Mitama Festival Bon Odori
