Anime, Onsen, and Parks in Hiratsuka

The spacious park is a sightseeing spot for cherry blossoms, roses, and plums. Yet, it is also a highly versatile place for a wide variety of activities, with facilities ranging from full-scale sports buildings, hotels, to playgrounds on a large, 30 hectare site. It becomes heavily crowded during flowering season. Having also featured in the manga, “Slam Dunk”, the park is a popular spot among animation lovers. The park hosts basketball, and volleyball matches on the national level, and is also used for private purposes. There are three gymnasiums in the park’s building, two martial arts halls, an archery range, a training room, a pool building, and more.
