Kawasaki Daishi (Nakamise street)

Nakamise is a shopping street which extends for about 150 meters from the main gate of the Heiken-ji temple. Tankiri candy is also called Tontoko candy or Sarashi candy, and it is a hard candy made by mixing soybeans, sesame seeds and ginger. Moreover, it is said to have the ability to alleviate colds.
